In the spirit of this special occasion, we are thrilled to present our volunteer interview series, where we delve into the remarkable stories of just some of the inspiring individuals who have chosen to make a difference.
First up is JOE...
What motivated you to become a PMLSC Volunteer?
With my 43 years of volunteering experience and looking for my next adventure, our family
came across PMLSC after much researching. Strategically positioned with fully certified
programs tailoring for initial junior and senior entry levels. PMLSC was our choice, our club,
our new family adventure.
How has volunteering impacted your life, and what benefits have you experienced from
it?
Volunteering is a way of life for generations in our family tree, we are lovingly proud to
continue with our families’ tradition. Volunteering is a major part of our existence with
routinely based commitment to all involved, benefiting with the similar minded.
What keeps you motivated to continue volunteering for PMLSC?
Our continued motivation for PMLSC is being fully open and accepting to new members with vast diverse opportunities covering all aspects pertaining to life saving, club events and committee roles.
In your opinion, what makes volunteering such a valuable and rewarding experience, and
how does it contribute to personal growth and development?
I personally find volunteering allows me a sense of happiness, enjoyment and fulfilment with
forever purposeful progressing knowledgeable opportunities.
Can you share a specific moment or experience during your volunteer work that stands
out to you and reinforces your love for volunteering and or the club?
I have saved many lives on land and in unpatrolled treacherous waters, which for me is
paramount. This season I committed to assisting with all the PMLSC school programs as
recorded. The students’ smiles, joys and energetic.
